November 2008. 51 Buckingham Gate, Taj Suites and Residences has become the first UK hotel to enter into partnership with Whole Foods Market, the world’s largest retailer of natural and organic foods.

The collaboration with Whole Foods Market is part of a broader re-branding programme at 51, which sees a greater emphasis placed on the individualised guest experience. The "made-to-measure" ethos is being applied across all products and services, from the food and drink offering, through to the Spa. The new branding also serves to underscore that 51 Buckingham Gate is part of Taj Hotels, Resorts & Palaces whilst simultaneously maintaining the five star town house hotel reputation for being ‘made for privacy, families and longer stay visits.’

Effective immediately, guests staying at 51 can organise to stock their residence with Whole Foods products in advance of their arrival. Whole Foods will also be supplying all 51’s gourmet picnic hampers.

As part of this enhanced guest experience, 51 recently re-launched its spa entering into exclusive partnership with Anne Sémonin. The Spa at 51 is now Anne Sémonin's only hotel spa in London and flagship.

The original pioneer of the ‘à la carte’ spa concept, Anne Sémonin has designed a bespoke treatment menu, fully trained all staff, and provided products and signature finishing touches to The Spa at 51. The Spa features Anne Sémonin products and treatments exclusively. Anne Sémonin products use only natural ingredients and the treatments are ‘made-to-measure’ for each and every guest.

In addition, 51 has recently re-launched its Courtyard at 51 and introduced a new ‘al fresco’ menu for the summer months. And 51's restaurant Quilon, the only South Indian restaurant in the UK, was awarded its first Michelin star in 2008.
